HELENA

The Helmholtz Graduate School Environmental Health (HELENA) is the overarching graduate program at Helmholtz Zentrum München, within which the Epigenetics Research School operates. The program was launched in 2010 and has tight collaborations with top universities in Munich; the Technische Universität München (TUM) and the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU).

HELENA has a unique focus on Environmental Health, with research activities concentrating on the interactions between genetic disposition, environmental factors and individual lifestyle habits. The research focus within the HELENA framework provides an excellent setting for the research of the Epigenetics Research School.
